I was told that since I was past their “Buyer Remorse” period, they cannot refund me anything. This never happened, and a recent call to their customer service dept. In speaking with the AT&T rep., I enquired about returning the 2 control boxes for credit, and was told that if returned them I would be refunded their cost ($110 x 2 = $220.) and the agent said she would send me return shipping labels.
I refused and changed our service to another carrier. I said to turn the service back on (with the new card number), and they said they cannot re-activate the old account, and that I would need to open a new account with 2 year contract with the second year doubling in price to $110 per month. Upon calling AT&T, I was told that they had used the cancelled card account number (their mistake). I called AT&T and was told it was for non-payment, and that the debit card was refused (we had over $3K in the Acct.). This past Sunday morning (8/23), as I was watching the news on TV, another screen came up indicating that our “Entertainment” was cancelled.
MY AT AND T CUSTOMER SERVICE UPDATE
In this call I informed them that this was also to update out “Entertainment” package, to which they replied that all our accounts were updated to the new card number. Then I made a second call to AT&T‘s “Entertainment” division to also update them for our auto-payment. Upon receiving the new cards, I called AT&T to give them our new debit card account number For our 2 cell phones on auto-payment. In late July, Bank of America notified us hat our debit card was “compromised”, and they had to cancel it and issue us new debit cards.
AT&T sent us 2 hook-up units for out 2 TVs that cost $110 each. My wife and I are long time Cell phone and Internet service customers of AT&T March of 2020, I started using The AT&T TV Entertainment package for TV broadcast.
